Fit 2 Go Personal Training is exactly what it says - a personalised training service which specialises in providing tailor made fitness programmes to meet your individual needs and help you achieve your specific goals.

Improving fitness isn’t just about increasing your cardiovascular exercise. For lots of people, improving fitness is linked to improving their body shape and in many cases, cardiovascular exercise will not achieve this on its own. Personal training is about understanding your body shape and knowing which combination of exercises will work for you, achieving the level of fitness you want, and seeing the body improvements* you desire.

Improving performance can be achieved by making your training specific to your sport. Whilst the old adage, practice makes perfect, is definitely true, equally improving strength, flexibility, agility or power could make a significant difference to your game. To put this into context, golfers tend to improve their game by spending hours at the driving range. But what about focusing on increasing the strength in your wrists and shoulders and improving the flexibility in your knees and hips? A personal trainer will create an exercise program which is specific to your sport and designed to enhance your performance.

Injury prevention
should be at the forefront of any exercise programme. Preparing the body effectively pre and post exercise is key to minimising the risks of injury. It also has an important role to play in sports which involve repetitive movements thus carrying a high risk of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury); tennis and golf being two prime examples. A personal trainer can provide advice on effective warm-ups, cool downs and how to make them more specific to the activity you are about to undertake.

*Note - it is physically impossible to change your actual body shape, however your overall appearance can be improved through weight loss and balancing out your overall shape.
