Every year I try to set myself a goal so that I have something to aim for, and my fitness training has a purpose, other than just keeping fit! I believe it’s really important to practice what you preach; if a client comes to me and says they want to run a half marathon, it is so much better for them if I have an experience I can draw on. I can tell them from a training point of view what does work and what doesn’t. Setting myself different goals gives me the opportunity to put into practice some of the theories I have learnt, both physical and mental, when I was training to be a personal trainer.
